About me
With degrees in Communications and Education and a Master’s in Teaching, Dale Hoggatt taught in America’s public schools for 32 years. He was named Missouri’s History Teacher of the Year for 2021.Dale served as an itinerant preacher in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma for around 25 years. After retiring from teaching elementary school, he accepted his current position as the pulpit minister for the church in Carthage, Missouri, where he is also a deacon.Additionally, Dale supervises and coaches student teachers for Pittsburg State University in Kansas, and he writes history curriculum and provides professional development for educators across the U.S. as a “master teacher” with the non-profit, Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.Dale has been happily married to Kristy for over three decades, and they have two children, Audrey and Silas. The couple is originally from the Oklahoma City area.
