A retired corporate finance executive in the aerospace industry who continues in retirement as an executive/life coach and author. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he spent his professional career in the Midwest (Ohio & Michigan) until retiring in 2014 and moving to Oklahoma in 2017. Oklahoma is where he had the time to write his comprehensive book on the eldership, Set in Order the Things That Are Lacking, published in 2024 by Sain Publications. He continues to write about church leadership, a natural extension of his Christian faith, his business acumen, his shepherding of two congregations, and his raising of two children, Jessica (Tate) and Timothy. Doug and his wife (Kathleen) moved back to Grand Rapids, MI, in 2026, where they worship with the Southside church of Christ.
