Wayne Jones is a 1996 graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching, where he graduated with highest academic honors. He holds a B.A., M.S. and MDiv from Amridge University. Wayne served as a minister for churches in AR, TN, MS and TX for over 25 years before moving to Denver, CO in July of 2022 to help train ministers at the Bear Valley Bible Institute. He began work at BVBI as Dean of Students and became President in May 2024, the role he currently fills. He is the founding director of Focal Point, a ministry workshop that began in 2009 and is still hosted each year in January by the University Church of Christ in San Marcos, TX. He served as a part-time instructor at the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, TX for 7 years. Wayne produces a weekly podcast entitled “Authentically Adam” that addresses issues of fatherhood, marriage, parenting, and leadership. He and his wife, Shana Kaye, were married in 1996. Together they have four daughters, three sons-in-law, three grandsons and one granddaughter. Wayne enjoys anything sports, but his real passion is helping people know God and His word.
